You have the option to book with either of our excellent veterinarians, Dr. Allison Glassman or Dr. Kate Panigrahi.
See below for a little background on both veterinarians.
Meet Dr. Glassman: Dr. Allison Glassman grew up in the Hudson Valley and graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After working in New York City, she went to veterinary school and graduated from Ross University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Glassman opened Roosevelt Veterinary Center in a smaller location in Brewster. The practice grew quickly and in 2018, Dr. Glassman moved and expanded the practice to its current location on Route 22 in Brewster.
Dr. Glassman enjoys learning how to incorporate new technology into the practice. She recently acquired a new ultrasound machine that allows the doctors to do scans and have them reviewed by radiologists in real time. She and Dr. Panigrahi went through hours of training in order to provide this service to their patients. Dr. Glassman also has invested in surgical equipment that makes some procedures both easier and faster to perform.
She also likes to attend veterinary conferences whenever possible where lectures are given on new medical advances and protocols. The conferences take place all over the country and are a great way to confer with colleagues.
Meet Dr. Kate Panigrahi: Dr. Panigrahi is a Hudson Valley native who received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from SUNY Purchase in 2013. From New York, she traveled to the beautiful island of St. Kitts to complete veterinary school at Ross University. She then moved to Columbus, Ohio, and called The Ohio State University home for her clinical training.
Graduating veterinary school magna cum laude, Dr. Panigrahi went on to accept an 18-month rotating internship in equine medicine and surgery at OSU. She returned home to New York in July 2020 to pursue companion animal general practice and equine emergency medicine. Her areas of interest include preventative care, clinical nutrition, and endocrinology.
Hours of operations are:
Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm
Saturday, 8:30am – 2pm
