COVID-19 Protocols

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have instituted curbside service for all pet appointments.

We have been following New York State guidelines and appreciate your willingness to allow us to continue to care for your pets during these trying times.  We have been diligently cleaning all surfaces, maintaining distance between staff members and clients, and wearing face masks throughout the entire work day.  Although most of our staff has been vaccinated, we have decided to maintain curbside service until further notice.

A trip to our office with curb-side service looks like this:

  1. Prior to your appointment, via text or email, you will receive a short questionnaire regarding your pets upcoming appointment.  Under normal circumstances, these questions are asked by a technician at the onset of an in-house appointment but because we are still in curbside service mode, we feel this is the most comprehensive way to alert the Vet to your pets current condition, and/or reason for the appointment.
  2. When you arrive, please pull into our driveway and take note of the sign that is attached to an orange cone at the front of each parking spot.  On that sign will be a parking spot number along with our office telephone number. Please call the office to let the front desk staff know that you’ve arrived and what space your car is parked in. Within minutes, a technician will approach your car to take your pet inside the hospital for his/her examination.
  3. Shortly thereafter, the Veterinarian will call your cell phone, or come out to your car to discuss findings.  Tests or procedures WILL NOT be performed without your consent.  If further tests are needed, we will email or text an estimate for you to review and discuss with the Veterinarian.
  4. Upon completion of the appointment, the front desk will explain charges and take credit card information over the phone.  A copy of your bill will be emailed to you, or a hard copy will be handed to you directly by the technician who will then bring your pet to you, along with medication if prescribed.

Please note that our restrooms are open to clients, so please let us know that you’d like to come inside and all we request is that you wear a mask.

Thank you for choosing Roosevelt Veterinary Center as your trusted veterinarian.  We appreciate you – our clients – and we love your furry family members!
